HOEVEN TO SIGN HIGHER EDUCATION FUNDING,
FLOOD PROTECTION LEGISLATION
BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. John Hoeven will hold two signing ceremonies Thursday, May 7 in Fargo for Senate Bills 2003 and 2020 and House Bill 1020.
SB 2003 and SB 2020
SB 2003 provides funding for North Dakota’s higher education institutions, including ACT-ND and the Governor’s needs-based tuition assistance program. SB 2020 provides funding for North Dakota Extension Services, including the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Ag Research Greenhouse. The event will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the Brostrom Lounge in the NDSU Memorial Union located on Administration Ave and Centennial Blvd. in Fargo.
Joining Hoeven for the signing will be legislative leaders, students and higher education officials.
HB 1020 provides funding for water projects and infrastructure, including $75 million to help fund permanent flood control for the city of Fargo.
The event will take place at 1 p.m. in the City Commission Room in the Fargo City Hall, located at 200 3rd St. N. in Fargo. Joining Hoeven for the signing will be legislative leaders and local officials.
